Oh boy, I think we will have some fluffy butt pictures today!
Oh no!! Maybe it's still early and a few more will start!
I really want some ducklings to hatch!! I figured since I posted it here first and this is where all who follow the hatching. So just info on the other thread and more detailed here.
It's hard to keep up with both and decide which info to post where or to make duplicate posts, right?
Dunno if they'll hatch due to size, but we're trying...

I've got another batch of eggs coming in so I want to put them in at the same time. They won't be sitting here too long before going in the bator.
Can't see some of the air cells at all yet...checking again tomorrow.
Oh ok, gotcha! If you can't even see them then they super fresh and should be fine for the two days.

Here's the six chicks I hatched for Halloween:
This little one is a CCL/Ayam cemani cross, much darker than I expected:
A little leghorn mix that must have been fathered by Raptor, look at the dark little face
So cute!! I saw a CL ad for AC chicks and it was picture heavy. It didn't specify what area of NY they were in. I thought maybe you'd be interested in seeing it??
Yes it is....also I am super worried I can't get the humidity higher that 57%....however I do think my hydrometer is wonky. Lol!!!! So I am just praying they will start zipping soon so I can get some.....if not then comes assist time.

Just remember that Ravyn had stuck an egg in the incubator that (I believe) a broody had quit on and it hatched fine without being in "lockdown" or her raising humidity!
Yeah, I'm starting to be of the opinion that we make this incubation thing a whole lot more complicated than it needs to be. I subscribe to the KISS principal wherever I can.Just remember that Ravyn had stuck an egg in the incubator that (I believe) a broody had quit on and it hatched fine without being in "lockdown" or her raising humidity!

I have 2 pips!!!! Yay!!!!!! The first was my CLB/Alsteirer crosses and when I looked back at Ravyns CLB egg it had pipped in a matter of seconds! !!! I am so happy!!!!e

there is another one called Coney Island Brewing that is really good, if you like root beer. Kinda tastes like a A&W root beer float.I hope nobody minds chick pictures!

On a side note I lost power yet again
and couldn't get the generator started so double when I couldn't get it started I put a blanket to help hold heat. Thankfully it was only out maybe 2 hours. The temp didn't drop below 80* so I hope they are still ok.
