So I did a quick early check on the Call eggs when I turned them earlier... looks like most from our big group aren't fertile... so won't have a huge group of winter ducklings to brood, lol...
I figured since I posted it here first and this is where all who follow the hatching. So just info on the other thread and more detailed here.![]()
Dunno if they'll hatch due to size, but we're trying...![]()
I've got another batch of eggs coming in so I want to put them in at the same time. They won't be sitting here too long before going in the bator.
Can't see some of the air cells at all yet...checking again tomorrow.
I hope nobody minds chick pictures!
Here's the six chicks I hatched for Halloween:

Not many things in life worse than a wonky hydrometer. Well,,,,,,maybe a few thingsYes it is....also I am super worried I can't get the humidity higher that 57%....however I do think my hydrometer is wonky. Lol!!!! So I am just praying they will start zipping soon so I can get some.....if not then comes assist time.

Yeah, I'm starting to be of the opinion that we make this incubation thing a whole lot more complicated than it needs to be. I subscribe to the KISS principal wherever I can.Just remember that Ravyn had stuck an egg in the incubator that (I believe) a broody had quit on and it hatched fine without being in "lockdown" or her raising humidity!![]()
I have 2 pips!!!! Yay!!!!!! The first was my CLB/Alsteirer crosses and when I looked back at Ravyns CLB egg it had pipped in a matter of seconds! !!! I am so happy!!!!e
So this is yummy!!! I know it's not Friday night but I has to splurge!
