Hey yall, no exciting news yet. This fox is a crafty little thing. I think he's vacated the den. Which is really frustrating cause I know he's still around, I just don't know where. I haven't lost anymore chickens though (knock on wood). A do have a question though. I moved the Icelandics outside, they're in a completely inclosed run and locked up at night so the fox isn't likely to get them, but yesterday morning I went out and Grata was dead, then this morning I went out and another chick was really lathargic and weak. I gave her some Poly Vi Sol and some sugar water but theres no improvement so far. Could it be Cocci? Or is it something else? I don't see any bloody poop and the others seem just fine.

Turk you stick to the plan . don't overload yourself . good thing your in a warmer climate . that means you have more options than some of us . It would be nice to have laying pullets for sale end of Feb, I would think they would sale . I' m hatch them grow them take them to market . or in my case auction . I should hit auction with several full grown chickens by then .that is except for the ones I hatch from Ravyn all the pullets stay here . and Roos two of each breed .

They were 4 weeks this past Thurday, I have a 100 watt heat lamp on them.

They mighta already had Cocci before you moved them... I'd stop the vites and run a course of Corid to be safe... don't give vitamins while giving Corid... cocci feeds on Thiamin and Corid is a Thiamin blocker... vites would just give them a food source...

If they do I'll be super stoked. The Puscifer show a few weeks ago was unspeakably amazing. Wish I could have seen G&R back in the day, but I was a wee bit too young for that. lol
