She said/He said Who's right? Who's wrong? No one!

Absolutely!  But it will be hard to send too many your way within a 48 hour collection window, so we'll need to work out the details.  They'll be dated, so even if you get some that were shipped at 5 or 6 days, you'll still know when they were laid.

I'm fine with up to a week old, so no worries here... :D
We'll work it out... got some pullet pics I wanna show you... think you might like these... ;)

Well I have turned off the brooder and put the eggs out under the silkie. Hopefully will have baby chicks again on tuesday.
@chickapee you need to replace as much of the cold water plumbing as possible with poly, and any hot water that is not copper with copper. Adding a secondary storage tank for the water to air after commng out of the well makes a huge difference as well, but requires a second pump. If you do use a storage tank you want all pipes after the tank to be poly or copper.

Yep we got 2 250 gallon tanks food grade today and a 2nd pump. 1 tank is for the well and the other is to store water if there is a hurricane, to make sure all the livestock have enough water, too. Thanks all for advice.

Today was my first day back to work since I had the baby, 11 months ago. I'll only be working Friday's, so extremely part time. But the woman I work for gave me a big fat holiday bonus and I have enough now to buy some really nice pullets from some top breeders! Very excited to get this breeding project going! Hopefully I will have some this month or definitely next. I haven't gotten any eggs since the mating took place (of course) but I need to wait now anyway until the new girls come and then I'll be setting like crazy! This is a beautiful paint chick I have growing out. Even has feathers on every single toe! Hope everyone had w great day and is ready for the weekend!

You have some nice looking youngsters!

I don't have any Blue or Black, but I have EE pullets from my chicken genetic cesspool with the colors of the other three. Feet vary wildly...the same parents throw gray, willow, white and yellow feet.

Congrats! But how'd you manage to get a nice holiday bonus when you haven't been there nearly since last year this time?
