I wasn't keeping chickens when I was using the Fortex buckets; I had 6 runs of bird dogs.

However, Fortex also makes pans of the same flexible rubber that would accommodate multiple birds at a time; just have to use more of them is all. Don't know how you'd heat them, though; pans too shallow for aquarium heaters. 'Course, you could set them on heated pads made for keeping dogs' quarters or chick brooders warm, if they'd get warm enuf.
 
Okay so I sodomized my poor silkie hen. I did not feel an egg. However, i can see the opening to both her oviduct and intestines. And she is straining and there us swelling up above the vent. When I press on the swollen part she poops. I used coconut oil. And alot of it to help like e her up ifshe us egg bound. I am so confused. And I have to leave soon to get my daughter from school and go to my job interview.
 
Can't help you with the silkie problem, but wish you best with the interview. Remember: this is also your time to interview THEM! Find out if it's a company/business that YOU would be happy/comfortable working for!

I haven't even been lurking, but I saw this in the subject on the other page and just had to see what was going on. Hang that one on the wall in the sushi bar and I can guarantee responses

Well here is how she is standing. I don't feel an egg. And when she poops it just runs down her back side.....I am so confused!!! And smells nasty! She is still damp from her soak. But I have a heating pad underneath her.

No blood or worms in her poop. I am super worried seeing that she is my only Silkie and I just love her!

This is actually late for us...lol Usually we are covered by now... We're supposed to have 50F Thursday and Friday but rain all day Friday.

I was hoping someone would have some suggestions for you. She's lovely, and I'm sure you are doing your best for her.

Is she eating and drinking ok?
