She said/He said Who's right? Who's wrong? No one!

I have a baby again. 1 more pipped, the others aren't peeping yet that I can hear. Little lady seems unfazed by the little one clambering all over her , but also doesn't seem to care if I steal it.

The one so far will be a cull, the one that's pipped will need to grow to first feathers but I suspect will be a cull to.

That's awesome!! How long have the pullets been laying for?
Can't wait to follow your hatch. What kind of duck eggs are they?
I love the ducklings and chicks together!!

My ducks are Swedish. Needed to add a bit of water last night (small glass bottle, just to up it a little), so while I was in there, I checked a few eggs... day 5

So, the sad thing is, I have no idea who any of those bands are. LOL Of course, the last few years Barnie, the Wiggles were my music time and now all of my favs are on the "oldies" station.

I love oldies, too. I'm all over the place. Wiggles and Barney, however, I banned from the house. lol
Was going to mention Hank Williams, Charlie Pride, Dwight Yokum, CCR,Charley Rich, George Jones, Patsy Cline, and a few others, but thought better of it.
Loooooove me some Hank SR and Patsy Cline.

The little sick chick has made an almost complete recovery

I didn't give her Corid cause when I went to get it they had sold out (I don't think they keep alot in stock) so I decided to give her some OTC and the next day after the first dose she had made a complete 180 and was eating and drinking on her own and had enough extra energy to fly out of her box and walk around my closet pecking at every little thing she saw. I still have her inside and on the OTC for the next few days til I'm sure she's 100% again and then I'll put her back out with her hatchmates.

ETA: I'm going to TRY to get some more pics of them tomorrow (they are VERY active) so I can post them. They have changed sooo much. They don't even look like the same birds. There are some very interesting and beautiful patterns going on.

I'm so happy she's doing better! Ours is too. :D Now where dem pics at?
Loretta has been laying since August and the 3 blrw for a month.
How old are your BLRW? I can't remember. . .

Well that was an experience. I integrated the juvenile girls and turkeys with Braveheart and the 4 girls this afternoon. Braveheart decided to show his ***** and jump on Jacob my tom turkey. Jacob wasn't having any of that and put Braveheart straight. They are all mingling quite happily 3hen I came in. All the chick3n girls were searching for scratch. They have been in connecting pens for months so they know each other. Braveheart has been back in with the girls for a week. The turkey girls are so nosy, they were all up checking out the laying coop. After a few days I will be moving the littles in to the juvenile pen with the turkeys and the girls will all be in the laying pen and the tinies out in the brooder. I will need to build a 2nd floor in the laying coop.

Since I only have 9 turkeys left, we opened the coops and let them mingle at will before we push them all into the turkey coop for the winter. For some reason Sonny (the young Golden Narragansett tom, best son of Scooter) had an issue with my SF/EE roo and was hopping around the pen sideways at him. They spent about 15 minutes in a bizarre dance around the pen before they parted ways.

Big Momma, the nearly two year old Broad Breasted Bronze hen, moved into the chicken's coop and planted herself firmly in front of the feeder. She would not let any of the hens eat from that feeder, and they were not brave enough to move into turkey territory quite yet, so we had to herd her back to her own coop. She's at least 35 pounds of mean, but she is good at keeping order in "her house".
