Congratulations! Seems like there have been a lot of very good hatches in the fall. I wonder if it's coincidence, or if they hatch better late in the season

Just 6 I was doing a test batch to check fertility after my cockerel was in with them after 3 days. Every one of Loretta's eggs were fertile and only 1 of the blrw but they had only been laying for 3 weeks and Braveheart is really partial to Loretta. The blrw were not having any of it. I really did want a few asian blue babies as I only had a pair. We ate one.

Not yet, but 2 duck pips to go with the 1 silkie so far. I'm off to try to get some sleep.... Yea right lol

I'm trying pullet eggs too. But they are literally her first handful of eggs. Not sure if hers are developing yet or not. Should know by tonight or tomorrow.

Hatch update.
Out so far - 3 silkies, 3 lav orps, 1 mutt. Pips in several more, including 4 ducks I think. Lazy ducks take sooo long.

I would love to have lav orps, lav silkies too. Mine weren't set til 31 nov so I have a bit till I get pips. 35 showing good development now, and 3 I'm not sure on. I might give them to my broody if she keeps trying to hatch those golf balls over the next few days when it's up to 120f
