well that explains why I only hatched a few chickens last year . the fewer hens the roo has to cover the higher the fertility . even though one roo should be able to handle twelve hens . they do run out of blue pills. also they play favorites .Sidewing was or is having a problem with that .
 
I have 130 or so hens and two roos and still get over 50% fertility. The roos only need to hit a hen once in a while. Some of my hens are pretty good at playing keep away.
