That's awesome! I read you're setting 3 dozen quail? How many of your silkie eggs? And how are the quail chicks doing? Do they grow as fast as chicken chicks?
Thanks! I did the same with the octagon 20 after my last hatch. I rinsed it out but didn't disinfect it until yesterday! I ordered a new hygrometer and that zorb fabric stuff. I'm starting experiments with humidity this weekend!
Thanks, Amy!
They really are growing!the one on the spool of thread is the smallest, last hatcher. The one that popped out in my hand.

You close enough to drive (everywhere is close enough to drive in my book) or are you going to try shipped eggs?
My brain keeps wanting to make them chick-sized so the spool of thread and your fingers really help put them into perspective!
They are so cute.
Eeee!!! Sooooo cute!!!!
Oh I just gotta hatch some now.... Love the last picture, it really helps put them in perspective.

Me too! Can't wait to read how your humidity experiments turn out! I also want to see pictures of the zorb and get your impression of it.
They are adorable.
I know! I want to see one up close and personal. I don't think you can totally get it from pics.My brain keeps wanting to make them chick-sized so the spool of thread and your fingers really help put them into perspective!

LOL Me either.Interesting concept. The nearest big breeders to me are 10 and 12 hour car trips. The ones I most want are a 4 day trip. There is no way I would call that close enough to drive
