I am picking up a dozen of these hatching eggs tomorrow!
Yes, not yet though there is a waiting list and I have just got on it. They are catching up with the folks that applied last year.
tomorrow hits lockdown... day 18... OMG.. already. I am freaking scared to death. lost another Sultan I think. I am glad I didn't have really heavy duty expensive rare eggs this time. You all were SO right. I have a HUGE momma that looks good to hatch. I can not imagine the chick that is going to come out of this thing. GOT to be Godzilla. I am not really happy with the air cells I don't think. Looked a them last night, and they really don't look much different than day 14. I am SO freaking out about the hatch. Any little hints or tidbits for the 'newby' hatcher on my first lockdown and hatch?????? (besides calm down???? lol)
on a second note, my second batch of eggs should be here in about a week and a half. THESE are very important eggs. I need to figure out what I did wrong and FIX it. suggestions are welcomed you all.
How many did you loose at day 7 candle, how many at day 14, and give final hatch from lockdown to see if or what might have gone wrong. Any that aren't pipped by day 23, open and find out how developed they are.
If your numbers are below normal we will need type and model of incubator, temp settings, and humidity. Your how evelvation and source of eggs can make a difference too.
