If, by spinning, you mean rotating them in their cup, that won't do anything. If you mean tilting each long rack of eggs, you might as well be using the turner. But that's just my opinion. I've never used a turner.

Spinning 180 degrees will indeed move the embryo from one side to the other, but it's not a big enough sweep to be ideal.

I'm just going to plug the stinking turner in. Lol at this point, I don't even know if it matters.
