She said/He said Who's right? Who's wrong? No one!

@amypaperlady this is a link to the shipped eggs article. I think it's a must read for anyone trying to hatch shipped eggs. Good luck with your hatch. I hope I wake up to some pips in the morning!!

Great article. Not a whole lot of help if you're not using an incubator, though

So Microsoft Patch Tuesday updates took down my camera PC and I can't even remote into it. I had four poults last night with more on the way, and won't be there to see them for 36 hours.

That's funny that you opening admit you're a narcissist. I think by definition that makes you NOT a narcissist. I would know....I divorced one!

A true narcissist owns it

Since I am no longer hatching anything because I have nothing to hatch. I will be a lurker of sorts and read everyone's posts. LoL!!!!
Probably a good idea. When neither Amy nor I are hatching, we turn on each other

You removed your disclaimer in your signature line about typos. How soon they forget! Lol

No, one was enough and much appreciated, thank you. You know I still love you, even if I am over sensative sometime.

I'm sorry, you were right. What was I thinking?

OMG! Is that the broody that hatched them? Does she think she's their real mama? Sorry, I have no experience with Broody's. That picture looks professional! It should be a post card! So beautiful! Thank you!!
That was a great picture, and I love watching broodies hatch different breeds. They take them in as their own. Here's a silkie that hatched 3 Polish and a d'uccle

This is just me thinking out loud, but I would assume that a broody would be better than an incubator, even with shipped eggs, but I could be wrong.
My broody silkie tag team is up to 10. The one downside to this for me is that they are so afraid one will steal the other's chicks that they won't leave the nest, and a few chicks had been in there since Sunday. This morning I took one hen out and all but one chick that hatched yesterday. The hen I took out immediately started guarding the chicks, then started scratching for them. The other broody stayed on the nest with the one chick and remaining eggs. I will give her another day or so to see if any more hatch, and if she doesn't come down on her own I will take her and the chick down and remove the remaining eggs

Ok, honestly, I got up at 4:30am and checked! I heard peeping & he was rocking! When should I start playing youtube baby chicks for him???
When ever you want....lol When I get a pip I will play it periodically throughout the day. But when they start zipping. I play as soon as I notice and don't stop until they are zipped out!! lol

That's a good omen. I think that was the same time that my first one pipped in this last hatch and it turned out to be a good hatch....lol
