She said/He said Who's right? Who's wrong? No one!

Checked all the eggs and the ones that yolks didn't bust when I cracked them all appear just not fertile. Cracked a few more recent ones that I'm unsure about, but picked out 6 to set anyway. Added 4 comet/mutt eggs too

They are close enough for me to drive to, and considered it. Still might some day, but with soooo many wonderful friends with such beautiful birds, I can't imagine buying from a hatchery now.

I know! I had put it off because I was supposed to get to go on a mini vacation and had to cancel it twice, which was probably a good thing because the transmission went on my car the day I would have left. But I was waiting until I was supposed to be back from that. I've been itching to set some eggs.

We missed most of you too...

Was that when you hit that bird? Did you ever find out what it was?

And I'm not sure about that "most" part. I'm more 50/50 :gig ;)

I want to set again now I'm getting good eggs again, but I need to wait a few weeks to see how many I can seek at the auction in a few weeks as I already have too many in the yard from all the Broodies.

What was wrong with the car or what the bird was?? lol Bird was a grouse and the car is it needs a new transmission-so I am told...lol

I was asking if you hit the bird about the same time your transmission went out, and yes, if you found out what kind of bird. Maybe the two incidents just got jumbled together in my brain :D

The transaxle light had came back on before I hit the bird, and it (the transmission) totally went out the next day. I had taken it in right after the light had came on to be checked but was told it was fine and something trivial set off the light. 2 days later- no transmission. Someone was wrong.
