She said/He said Who's right? Who's wrong? No one!

Well the shipped bcms did not hatch. They were all Scrambled. Through them out this morning. At least the turkey eggs have signs of life, but have saddled air çells. 28 days will be Saturday. I need some luck.

Good luck!!

I have babies. My poults hatched last night don't know how many I saw 3 but didn't move mama. That is a French blue marans she helped off and on during the setting process and looks like she has stolen a pair for herself
Congrats!

I brought all the new babies out for a playdate. And had to share my proud mommy pics!

Ruby, I just love that little guy ^^^ They are all super-adorable, but something about the dark/light gray feathering is just soooo cute.

Looks a lot like this little fella of mine, the sweet/shy one.

This is my little crippled one. She's doing better, I took the bandaid off to let her try to use the leg a little. Its not sticking out to the side as badly now, and she's trying to use it some. I have been exercising it by holding one finger under one of her feet, and another finger under her other foot, and moving my fingers up and down to get her to put weight on it. I think she has gotten so used to depending on the good leg, its going to take her some time to use the weaker leg. I still can't tell if the tendon is slipped or not. I hope not. The hock is not swollen, like I read it would, so maybe it will be ok eventually. She is gaining weight though... A whopping 31 grams already!

And I'm betting on a frizzle here:

That's whats so hard about shipped eggs. You just don't know the damage done to the inside. Plus, I'm sure it was super hard to candle those BCMs. I'm on day 11 with my peafowl eggs. They were fairly easy to candle in the beginning but not anymore. I can barely see anything and it's frustrating. I finally know how everyone feels that try to candle dark eggs!
What kind of babies are these? I love the fuzzy feet and "pantaloons". I have a few Easter Eggers hatched from my little flock that have fuzzy legs and fluffy butts. I'm hoping they will be broody hens because I can just imagine a few turkey poults sticking their heads out from under their wings.
They are Silkies, so most likely they will be broody. I can send a couple to visit you & hatch you out some poults! ;)
Those are the cutest little fuzzy feet. Second duckling is working his way out, it is at beak level lol mutt duck is just been moved to the brooder, getting around well, keeps trying to escape and come out. It has bonded to me
Post a pic when #2 hatches! Baby ducks are so precious!!

Yeah, he's a special little one. All the dark ones DIS. He's the only one out of the 5 dark eggs that hatched! And he does look like yours! She sounds like she's doing better. I'm pulling for her!!

The one thing i learned from my first hatching attempt it that a way to find out what the temperature and Humidity inside the incubator are would be a really good idea. I had a 28 day hatch with 15 of 18 dead without pipping at full size.

Well it was a slow weekend here, so hopefully you had an easier catch up. Happy Fathers Day. Sounds like you had a good one, I'm glad!
Hope all the Fathers here had a good day. I miss my daddy.
Thank you! I have a great fathers day and I miss my Dad too.

Sorry to hear that. I bought 14 Blue Laced Red Wyandottes and none of them hatched. Going into lockdown on 14 shipped barred EE eggs tonight.

So you did find a way to find the actual temp? I use a temp gun on the eggs themselves to calibrate my incubator and it works well.
