Hi! Welcome to the thread!HI All- Just wanted to drop in and say i just found this thread and look forward to read through the 5000 odd posts
Yes, that's always a good thing. The one thing i learned from my first hatching attempt it that a way to find out what the temperature and Humidity inside the incubator are would be a really good idea. I had a 28 day hatch with 15 of 18 dead without pipping at full size.
Nice! It feels good to get them in some safe space. How is the eye?
Good, it finally stopped hurting, thanks for asking.

YAY!! Congrats. Can't wait to see lots of pics!Hi everyone![]()
Hatch went well, 26 of the 27 that went into lockdown hatched. The last egg croaked it sometime after lockdown. I've also lost a chickNumber 26 that hatched was weak and was late compared to the rest of the chicks. Just would not eat and drink or do anything. Other half knocked it on the head for me in the end to put it out of its misery.![]()
The remaining 25 are all doing well though and out in the brooding shed. They are enjoying the space so much and have started their mining through the shavings!!
LOL Yes.
