She said/He said Who's right? Who's wrong? No one!

Have you tried using the medical wrap tape? Its pretty stretchy and its adheres to itself so it will not come off as easy. The egg is a light brown. I have always seen veins until just now! But I dont see a blood ring either. I am nervous.

I hope your right! I am going to check again in the morning.

Thank you! It does feel good to help nurse an animal back to health. Zax is a Silver Laced Polish. He is my hubbys favorite.

I've used the medical tape on curled toes, but not really sure how to use it on the leg? I have some ace bandage stuff too, that sticks to itself, so I might try something with that. I did read something about a figure-8 wrap, so that's probably something else I should try. I noticed the others are starting to "fly" around the brooder more now, and they just walk all over the crippled one, so I will probably do some rearranging this evening. Move her off by herself, or separate the 3 cochin from the 3 polish.

Zax is beautiful. Or I should say handsome! lol Do you have any more pics of him?

Hey all, Egg 8 still chirping in the shell, feel good movement inside egg 6 so hopefully it will pip soon. Lazy things I swear. :)

Awesome!

They're adorable! I always side with the underdogs. Dontcha just love how chicks can look like grumpy old men sometimes? :old
Aww. Love the picture!
To me it looks like that one is about to bust out in tears. I offered up my poults a few salmon trimmings. It's so funny to offer them something new. One will taste, and the immediate reaction was "yuck", accompanied by a hasty retreat, head shaking, and beak wiping on the pellet bedding. The second one said "hey, wow that looks exciting" and came over to check it out. Another nibble, quick backstep, head shaking routine. Third one got brave and grabbed a piece and ran. #1 and #2 chased after, and #3 gulped it down to avoid losing his scrap of salmon. #1 and #2 came back and each grabbed a piece, and #3 chased them around while they gulped it down. #4 just sat back and watched, then walked up to my hand and sat down on top of the remaining scraps. So I now have a salmon scented poult...
That is a classic description. I love watching them try new things!
Finally! Stuck in a fireworks booth with a phone whose battery needs to be kept up for the credit card reader (and actual phone calls--being in charge of the 2 booths here in town means my phone rings more than once a day LOL) makes for some backlog ;-) Good thing everyone else has been busy, too. Anyway, I just wanted to leave a link to something I wrote for a general knowledge site--it just went up today. http://h2g2.com/edited_entry/A87846547
Great article! Wish I had read that before venturing into chickens. Lots of info!!
