She said/He said Who's right? Who's wrong? No one!

So, I have a question for you guys. Lots of you-most of you-use a screen name far from your original name, but you sign posts/pms with your real name or you have your real name listed on your profile info. So, would you guys rather be called by your real name or your screen name???  I've been curious for a while now, when someone signs posts/pms especially, with their "real" name if that's what they'd be prefered to be called. I know personally I prefer Amy to Amy Lynn, but don't really care, either way it is my name...lol

I only sign PMs with my real name and even then it's only if I'm going to meet someone in person (generally) but I'm paranoid ;)

And yes I got filled in, thanks for asking. :)

Chop saw is a must, followed by pneumatic nailer, skill saw, and a good drill. Jig saw if cutting anything funky or not straight.
That is a fine list right there

I just bought my first jigsaw a few months ago and love it. My most recent addition was a table saw. That is so much easier than a skill saw, especially when working with longer cuts. I bought a metal cutting blade, and it does a great job on corrugated metal, too.
Does anyone else use Torx screws? I started that this year, and will never use Phillips again if I don't have to. No stripping, and you can really sink the screws

Aren't you going to Georgetown? Beautiful area. I love the SC coast. Will you be going into Charleston any? A lot of good food and shopping down there. Charleston is a good scene. The way the whole city handled itself after the shooting made me even more proud to be from SC. Other incidents tore other cities apart. This one has drawn the whole state closer together

Not sure what all the sisters have planned!

I agree. PMs are fine if you want to give your real name. I have given my name, but who would know who anyone was talking about if real names were used instead of screen names lol

I agree. Good thing nobody that has seen your name in a PM actually posted it on the thread...

:thumbsup

I prefer Liz personally but I answer to some funny things sometimes. Lol!

I'm not fussed either way!! I suppose some like to keep their internet persona mysterious ;)

A bit of mystery for intrigue.

I'd have a hard time calling you anything but...well, I've called you other things, but when I am talking to you SC is more comfy than ...lol  ;)

I will call him from now on!!!!!!! Lol! Thanks Amy.

Love it!

You two scare me sometimes...

Welcome, Ohio.  You've been around the block!  If this old biddy can build a coop, green house, and tractors, I'm sure you can do it.  But, you gotta have power tools to even the playing field between male brawn and female not so brawny!   Chop saw is a must, followed by pneumatic nailer, skill saw, and a good drill.  Jig saw if cutting anything funky or not straight.

I had a hard time finding a drill that fit my hand well. I've always had trouble sinking screws. Are the torx what's considered star head screws? DH has a fit about them so I haven't tried them. What I've ended up doing is using the impact that came with our tool set.

I have used Torx on deck projects. Not sure I would use it on a coop. I need a table saw.

Torx are more of a square in the top of the screw. I have a fit about them when I need to make a quick adjustment and I don't have a torx head handy, but I have 5 philips screwdrivers and 25 philips drill bits.

Yeah, you need to let your sibs know what you need. You shouldn't bear all the burden alone. What about your brother (seems most people have a sib like that) helping out financially?

Not to keep bringing up family...but my brother is an unemployed pot head that stays with wichever friend or child that will let him. We very seldom even speak. He doesn't even call or come around to see how our father is. If we run into him in town I get the "I've been wondering how dad's been." BS. Only time he calls is if he needs something.

Just to be clear, I don't want my name used. Seriously. That would be my screen name if I wanted to use it.
Yes, the Torx heads are the same as star heads. Ten times better than Phillips, and most of them come with the bit for the drill when you buy the screws

I've been slapping you in my mind ever since you posted it, but I'm so against my name being used that I didn't even want to quote it
