Not a lot of 2 strokes to choose from now, but the Euro builders are keeping them going. KTM, Beta, Husaberg, Husky, although most of them are just KTMs with different colors. I just grew up on smokers and love them. A little whiskey throttle will lift the front wheel in 4th gear

I still have two 2 strokes, a Kawi 100 my daughter rides and a Suzuki TS185 that we let friends ride in the woods. Both are mid '70s steel tank indestructables. Love those things. But I sold my beautiful Magna 750 and 2 more TS185s to put money down on the pair of CRFs and these things are fun. Not like my La-Z-Boy Magna on the road, but Michigan potholes don't even exist for these baby Hondas.

I fondly remember my amazingly uncomfortable ride to Daytona Beach on my Yamaha RD250.
