That's great! You owe me some pics when they get out. I stopped at 22. These are bred beautifully, most totally white in the face and crest. I'm not sure what SOP is, but that's why I picked that rooster. The WCBs don't look as good to me with too much black.I have a pipI have a pip![]()

I knew I could hear peeping earlier and now this has confirmed I'm not going insane or hearing things!! It's in one the Amber x polish eggs though I thought they would be a little later with being bigger but obviously it can't wait.
I'm glad you appreciated the joke. These other guys and gals are used to me, but I was hoping I didn't offend you since you are new. There's a lot of smack talk on here, but it's all good natured.
Ok, so now I'm having trouble getting that french accent out of my mind..... Poor little froggie.. I'll have to start another thread so you can give captions for all my egg photos!!!
Good news, 5 out of 7 bantam silkie mix chicks have hatched. It's the 20th day, so I'm giving the last two eggs another day, but I'm not optimistic... One has a bit of wax over a little crack on the shell.. It looked developed going in to lockdown, so if it doesn't hatch C'est La Vie...(that was me not the frog...)
Incubator #2 was locked down this morning with a mix of 5 Dominiques, 4 Cochins and 20 Buff Orpingtons. They all came from a local lady who several years ago, I bought Peafowl fertilized eggs from with good success. I started with more Cochins but a lot just didn't make it to lockdown. Does anyone have experience incubating Cochin eggs? Just curious if they are more difficult or if there is another reason...

Isn't it day 21 for you?
I just meant Standard of Perfection, as in show quality. I haven't read up on it. I just know that my roo looks better to me than many pics of others I have seen, but I am a little biasedI too am not sure what SOP is? Is that the colour of your roo? I will have to look it up![]()
I'm only day 19 but as usual I will probably have a day 20 hatcher. With not doing eggs cartons this time I'm not sure if anything else has pipped where I can't see. It's driving me insane not being able to see![]()
