You didn't get them???![]()
No, that person said they had them, then didn't get back to me, then when I inquired as to the status, they said they had been spoken for, but she could get me more in a week. So I guess someone jumped ahead of me. I dont like dealing that way, so I told them I would find some elsewhere.
Now I will be picking up cochin, d'uccle, and polish tomorrow. For sure! Although I turned off the bator when I went home today to check on my ducks/chicks. Oops lol
You don't sound like Snookie! And you're adorable, haha you're video was cute! And I'm not even about to make one because I probably do sound like Snookie.![]()

That looks like my kind of weekend! Enjoy!
Teach me your ways! Sounds lIke it's going very well!
I can't say the same, I'm pretty sure my power failure killed these chicken eggs. Or at least messed up their development. It's now day 22 and nothing, thinking of doing the float test. I don't know I'll give them a little more time, could be delayed due to the power loss but I have a bad feeling. And I think the mistake was not knowing about dry hatching in these bators.
I just got home, we've been finishing our basement so we've been busy. I got the hubby to go buy me some eggs though, tonight. His old teacher breeds purebred Ameraucanas (he's in some Ameraucanas breeders club and takes it very seriously, LOL but I wanted the real deal) so I have six of those, and he had some Blue-Laced Red Wyandottes so I got six of those and he threw in four extra. I saw the hens and the roos of both and they are pretty chickens![]()
Amy, I'm going to do the dry incubation method, I bookmarked your page. I can't go completely dry, because we're in a drought (for the northeast anyways) and the humidity in the air had only been 20%. I have found a tablespoon of water is plenty in this bator. Hopefully this goes well and with NO loss of power- I did move the bator, it was the other outlet that shorted out. Just my luck, but so far it has been running perfect since.
I hope something still happens with your current hatch. Maybe they are just taking their time.
And keep in mind, humidity is by surface area, not amount of water. I would think a teaspoon would evaporate quickly. You can add more, deeper, as long as you keep the same surface area and should be the same percentage you get with a teaspoon.
