I need a name for my stupid white silkie. I have 2 and I named one Gabe (Gabriel Iglesias, I'm not fat, I'm fluffy!) lol. I thought it was a boy but still not sure, so it may end up Gabby. The other one, probably female, is so stupid! And she's a loner. I keep calling her dumb@ss so I really need a better name. Even though she is dumb, she's still a keeper, so any suggestions?

How about Snowflake, Snowball, Mothball (my daughters suggestion), Molly....also her suggestion. Lol!

That is so funny! It made me laugh reading it because I pictured you walking around calling it dumba$$!! LOL! We have 2 white silkies and my kids gave them the most original names ever.....Snowy & cloudy. Totally unique!....NOT!

I named all my silkies after authors. But when they die, you can't reuse the name like you could if it was "Snowball" or something like that, so I'll be using more pet-appropriate names in the future. and also, I have to specify, "Jane Austen the chicken", otherwise people get a bit confused.

Lol, well, when we let the other girls out of the run into the yard, she is the only one that can't figure out how to get out!. They have to hop over a threshold maybe 5" high. The other can do it easily, but this one just walks back and forth by the gate. We've been doing this for a week or so, and she had never made it out. I carried her out tonight! She did make it back in on her own though lol
And that's why I asked, because all I was coming up with were dumb movie characters or boring "white" names lol

She said "yes! they chose the name I came up with!" and she just said that Pups even sounds like she's barking at her for holding her. (I really want it to be a her)

Very, very informal results here.. I incubated shipped eggs in my new Brinsea Eco 20(following MFG's instructions) and barnyard mix eggs in my Hovabator (dry-ish hatch). I think I'm done with my hatch, day 21 no new pips or peeps since this am. I hatched 4x the number of eggs in the Brinsea (and they were shipped!!). I'm convinced!

I can't taste a difference really, except in boiled. I don't like boiled duck eggs. Yuck. But most people love the duck eggs for baking. They're also healthier than chicken.
The duck eggs are bigger (I have Pekins) so the yolks are bigger, making fluffier cakes, or flatter (delicious-er) cookies.
I can taste the difference in guinea eggs, scrambled in comparison to chicken eggs scrambled. I would keep guineas just for the eggs. Much better, IMO.

Did you make your cakes? Yea too bad you don't have duck eggs, it doesn't take as many and I agree with everyone else. Fluffier!! Wish my girls would start laying!! Lol

So I made my four cakes (2 of which were double boxes ) the big circular cakes. I made two batches of fondant (and am going to have to make one more tomorrow) and I made my butter cream icing. I got stacked the two bottom ones and got them covered. I stacked the two top ones but apparently didn't make enough orange fondant, because I couldn't get it rolled out big enough and when I did all it wanted to do was rip on me, so I balled it back up and since I'm about to drop dead, I will tackle it tomorrow after I make more. Then I just have to "decorate" it and hope it makes it on the two hour drive. I forgot to put my dowls in the bottom stacks so I will have to figure out how to do that tomorrow w/o tearing my fondant too bad. My niece better really love me, especially when I don't even like this guy she's with (whom the cake is really for.) Come on, he can't even pick a good team...the Broncos????

I would. I run dry at about 30-35% the first 17 days and up to 75% on day 18-hatch. How do your air cells look?
