Yeah!! Happy 4th of July everybody!

Nothing happening yet. No external pip and I have not heard anymore cheeping. Temp is hold steady at around 102.2 and humidity is at 67%. I no longer see or notice any movers or shakers. So.....I think it could be any day that I will have some hatchers. I have 4 bantam cochin eggs in there that were all doing great! They may be my first to hatch or...it may be the Buff Brahma that was dancing around 2 days ago. Lol!!! We shall see. So for now...its hands off. Until the first pip.......after that I will just watch and if one looks stressed or needs help then I will assist.

I didn't remember you had bantam cochins in there! I just love my new little ones. I am in amazement how fast their feathers grow!

I have two roosters now but I am trying to sell them. I have to unsure of color in there and 2 GL Cochins. I am excited to see them hatch!!!

Well my first one to hatch, and the strongest chick overall, made the prettiest, most book-perfect zip I have ever seen! It was an awesome sight! Fingers crossed for you!

Here in aus we used to have guy forked day, that was celebrated with large fires and lots of fireworks . They banned both the fireworks and the holiday itself sometime in the 80s. I used to really enjoy setting off fireworks.

They just made fireworks legal in NY. My grandmother has been dropping truck loads off at my house for the kids. They are too young to play with them. So guess who has to light them and then across the yard like a maniac so they don't catch on fire...yup, me! But thank you! Hope you enjoyed the Canadian holiday too. You weren't born & raised there, were you?

I bought some because our county was one of the ones that ok'd them. Brought them with me on vaca, but I'm in a county that didn't ok them...lol So hope I don't get ticketed...lol OOps..lol

Well, nobody was dumb enough to let them off in my forest or the nearby provincial park, thankfully, but Ruby, having them and knowing how to fire them are two distinct things. Your kids look young enough to be thrilled with sparklers..pls don't feel rushed to set off stuff. Its more complicated than most of us realize....but have fun.

Only ground works are legal. The "easy" stuff. The stuff that those of us who have a brain and treat them with respect should have no problem with. Of course there are those idiots that are going to misuse them and people are going to get hurt and ruin it for the rest. As for sparklers- by law- it's still illegal to light a sparkler and hand it to a child under 18. They didn't legally open up our availablitity to set off whatever we want. Fountains, sparklers, snakes and smoke bombs. Nothing with loud blasts or that shoot off the ground.

Yeah as stupid as it sounds, advice on cars from a woman caused issues for some men. Didn't make any difference to me except the hate mail that ensued. I got tired of it. My website with all my docs is still online but I don't participate in the forum any more.

That's sad and just says that they are lacking confidence in their masculainity. Pure jealousy. If a guy gets upset because a woman knows as much (or more) than he in a "male dominated" field it's because his jock strap is too loose/empty.

I couldn't agree more. If there is one thing that turns me off, it's jealousy! Nothing's more attractive then a kind, humble yet totally confident man.

HAHAHAH!!!!! I get jealous sometimes because my friends know I have a good man and he is always willing to help out when needed, so his days off are being spent with my friends helping them move, or whatever....so I get a little mad sometimes. But I try not to because its who he is and I know he would not do anything.

So I candled my peas this morning because I'm trying to closely monitor air cell growth due to my humidity issues. And one egg is started to draw down! I have a feeling this one will be early!! Gonna have to keep an eye on it and lockdown when an internal pip happens.
