Yes and she has done it!! She has hatched off at least one chick

Day 21 today for her and I checked a little earlier, she fluffed up and out popped a little chick from under her!! So pleased for her that she has actually managed it. She's still on the nest so not sure on the other eggs as I don't want to disturb here too much. Will post some pics when she brings it/them off the nest. Can't believe I've got a polish that has actually managed the three weeks and something has hatched

Score in progress! I found an older GQF incubator and brooder for $250 for both, delivered about 100 miles. Turner doesn't work and neither heats up but that's the easy part.

Could I just ask you how many roosters do you have and do you get any complaints. I have got 2 six wk old pekin bantams and 1 is definitly a boy I really want to keep him as I don,t have any other boys and I want to get a small flock of pekins ,kept seperate from my other hens I,m just wandering if I would be able to

The by-laws vary enormously regarding the keeping of chickens and whether roosters are allowed at all. You'll have to check what your local by-laws state.

I hate to hear that. That's an issue you are going to have to learn how to overcome with the hatching schedule you are working on. I really can't help, as I have never ramped up that quickly

The by-laws vary enormously regarding the keeping of chickens and whether roosters are allowed at all. You'll have to check what your local by-laws state.

I,ve heard that if you can stop the rooster from standing upright he will be unable to crow I was thinking that if this is true I could keep him in a small coop at night and only let him out about 7am I shouldn,t really have any complaints

My rooster crows all day, starting at about 4:00am, and finishing around 9:00pm or so. Also, search on the term "no crow collar".
