She said/He said Who's right? Who's wrong? No one!

You needed to post that pic after all your comments today!! I've been cracking up here and there when I've stopped to read a few of them!!
I'm not and I'm having withdrawal also!! Planning to get serious next week and buy some eggs. I found a good breeder about an hour & 15 mins from me. Not sure if I should take the drive or just do shipped eggs again. Suggestions? (I've never set local chicken eggs before) is it worth it?
Women have come along way but that's proof that inequality still effects us today!

If you're willing to do the drive, I suggest picking them up... I've hatched many shipped eggs, had good and bad, but picking them up will give you way better odds...

I would certainly go and collect them. You just never know what will happen in the post!!

I'm so friggin excited!! I found 2 heavy duty, insulated dog houses at a yard sale today! They have been upgraded and have heaters installed in them!! I looked them up new and they are $180 plus $110 to add the heaters. So that's almost $300 a piece. She had a brand new AC too. So I offered her $100 for both houses and the AC. Done deal. Here's an Internet pic, it doesn't do their size any justice, they are HUGE! I haven't picked them up yet but I paid her. One will be for for the call ducks that I'm planning on hatching in the spring. I'm on a waiting list for eggs from a breeder that has gorgeous white calls. And the other....guess I'll have to hatch more eggs!! :woot

Ok, thank you. I wanted to know if you guys thought it would be worth it. Like I said, I haven't done local, so I wasn't sure if they'd be that much better. She has a really good reputation. Highly recommended. Her FB is Mini-Chic Silkies. I've looked through her pics and she has beautiful chickens. She's also the one I'm waiting for call duck eggs from. So I'll get to meet her and start a working relationship for future transactions. I was leaning towards that but it's so easy to get eggs in the mail! Looking forward to trying local eggs!!

Your hatch rate will increase significantly! :)
And if she's got a good rep and others you want, then definitely worth the drive... wish I had a breeder near me for calls! ;)

I agree with current opinions.
