She said/He said Who's right? Who's wrong? No one!

Ok . Like I said I have no idea what color any of this hatch will be - unless the orps hatch. None of the others are pure color. The 3 orps are buff.

They look adorable! :)
I'm working on Paints... got a baby pic somewhere...

Cute!!! I want a paint or splash chicken of some sort.

Buffs are pretty. My little egg started zipping down the center if the egg towards the pointy end. So I pulled it out to see if it was alive...it is...and it still has blood in the membrane so wrapped it a paper towel and we wait some more.

So....HE (not happy but of course my luck) was malpositioned. He started to zip down the center of the shell towards the pointy end. So I had to assist him because he stopped and could not go any further. I thought he was missing a wing because I did not see it. It was tucked underneath his body. He is resting right now and I'm just waiting for him to kick the shell off.

Well I'm now up to 8 in the brooder. 2 that pipped zipped and stuck. I have opened them up a bit but they don't look quite ripe yet.
I have 2 others pipped and 1 more cheeping.
The remain 8 eggs aren't doing anything yet.

Of the 12 eggs I brought the only one to make it to the brooder was an Aracuna, and I didn't really need those got I ended up with free EE eggs that are closer to the spec I want than the aracuna. I have hopes for the frizzle that is 3/4 out of the egg. - if it's still alive tomorrow it should be ready to remove the last of the egg and be finished enough to go to the brooder. Hopefully the Dorking that is peeping comes out without any issues. I think the remaking silkie egg might not be going to hatch as the rest of the silkies have been in the brooder for at least 6 hours.
I hope they come out silkie feathered as the dad is like 3 gens removed from that. Looks like I might get some good combs though.

That's good though to have an actual true aracauna

Why not!!!!! I am seriously busy!!!
Did you ever figure it out, Chrissy? Hope your chick can find it's way out

I'm a mile behind now, but my multi quote was getting too long
Nice! For all I know, they've hatched by now, but just wait, I'll catch up...
You probably already got an answer, but if not muscovies, or call ducks, and your air cells look good, you are safe to lockdown whenever is convenient now
Uh yea, I got slammed with work all afternoon. Go figure! I hate it when work interrupts my BYC time.

Lucky phone. Does Siri speak eye talian now?

Bator not fixed, although I haven't tested it since I cleaned it after the last hatch. Fridge bator has not been worked on either (gonna have to get after hubby about that!) but I think I'm safer without a working bator! Hahaha

I've been getting the same looking 3 eggs since Sunday now, so 4 days straight. I filled a dozen carton today! No new layers yet, but the 3 have been doing great! I am assuming its the same 3 layers because they look so much like the prior days, yet different from each other, but I could be wrong!
You're not getting any AM eggs until you get that Brinsea

3 in brooder

Congrats! You are definitely red. Mine usually have a few wing feathers growing in before they hit the brooder

no didn't do that just got to hot on my roof working on storm damage had to set a spell

I feel for you on that roof. This summer is miserable. When I disappeared Saturday, it wasn't only because of silkie. I got overheated loading the lumber and had a severe migraine for the rest of the night

i now have 6 in brooder - 3 silkies - 2 EE and one BYC

5 more are pipped - 1 is in the end fartherst from the aircell, but it got a really big hole so i think it will be ok.
.
Yep, definitely red
