Yep, this past April. Fabio walks with a limp now

I did. Here's the rundown:

7 remaining eggs

1 late quitter, looks like around day 14
5 fully formed DIS
1 not DIS. Pipped, partial zip, and shrink wrap. It either pipped on the bottom, or was rolled over before the chicks were taken out. Severely shrink wrapped. Was not assisted.

Also, the runt was dead when I got home, and another small one was on its back barely breathing. Rough night last night, so now I am left with 10, but the 10 remaining look to be very healthy. With the smaller chicks dying, and the fully formed DIS, I am definitely running 30% on the set tonight. My goal was at least 30 for the winter, so it's looking like back to back sets again. I hate having the losses, but at least I have more chicks now than I started with last year.
These chicks crave attention. When I put my hand in the brooder, they jump up on the heater and step onto my hand. I'm very happy to have the chicks I have, and this will be chalked up as part of the learning experience on BCM
