I don't have neighbors right next door, but there are a lot of houses around. That's the other good thing about living in the south. I am not the only one with curling roosters in the morning

I can see my neighbor across the roads pump house and that's all . that's down the power line . I've let the rest of the place grow up except my hay fields. the deer bed within 200 feet of the house in the hay field when season opens. I can still hear the semis on the highway and all my load neighbors but can't see them.

I live in a small town that has some houses close together, but we are on the edge of town with 15 acres. We have a good buffer of trees all the way around, so it's pretty quiet for the most part
