She said/He said Who's right? Who's wrong? No one!

I was looking for an alternative to garbage cans, to keep my 50lb bag of chicken feed in. I found this and tried it and love it! It's called petmate mason storage jars. They come in different sizes. This is 60lbs. Takes up less room then the bag itself and has an airtight lid.

I already had wrinkled paint on the booster (supposed to be yellow cad plated but previous owner painted it when it got ugly) so that won't help, but it's not wet there. I'll pull the vacuum booster hose tomorrow and check the check valve for fluid. I agree seals are garbage but so is gasoline. I like your bleed port idea. I should just bench bleed the master once a year for good measure followed by draining some through the wheel cylinders and calipers. The rear wheel cylinders have been a weak link on all my Firebirds. I'll pull the lines at the master and plug the ports and find out really fast if it's a master or prop valve/distribution valve/line/wheel cylinder issue.

No trans fluid in the coolant, I had to drain some down to reseal the water neck and none at the thermostat and none out the petcock. No pin hole in pan, I replaced it with a finned aluminum pan some years back so it wouldn't overheat the trans in the 16 mile long traffic jam that is the Dream Cruise. No leaks on the radiator cooling tank or lines, either.

I have so many vehicles to maintain that once a month would be a long shot, and she does NOT want to start November through March. Neither do I for that matter. So I winterize her but left her in hibernation for too long.

same way work to much. and to much to take care of but you do a good job sounds like. I have work equipment to take care and no shop to work in and no shade trees .It breaks down I fix it there .have a tractor shed that was built for horse drawn farm implements barely get my tractors in so low .worked on firebirds when they were near new .when It gets cold and I need to work I have tank heaters on what must go .not going back in then hole to keep working so now I rent anything big I need. Electronics drive me crazy 96 F350 crew cab dully down for three years with a bad switch in trans haven't had time to fix it you have to pull the trans. to fix it . 7.3 liter powerstroke every work on one. some comedian said the way to tell the difference between a country person and a city person is. a country person has every new car they ever owned in there back yard. I have all but two good thing I have a big back yard. most of those are ford trucks though.

We threw em in the "big brooder" today; integrated em with the new chicks. Yes, I know that's not optimal, but we only had teh one big brooder, their smell was permeating our lives, and slackwater just tested clean for everything, plus the BLRW chicks were isolated since birth, so hopefully it'll be aight.

Had a min, so pics!

Here are a few of our mixed crew. I really like the colors so far. I can't wait to see what colors Welsummer/BA throw.

Our guys are in with the smaller BLRWs, and really giving them a run for their cash, worms or what have they.
Nice! You are ramping up in a hurry

I replaced the master cylinder 5 years ago when it failed internally. That's a quick job, but I'd rather diagnose it properly first.

I keep 3/4" rubber stall mats under the car, between the car and the concrete. The piece of rug is to collect the rear main seal drips and keep them off the rubber mats. The trans pan is wet with fluid, so either the trans pump seal failed and it was blown back when I started it, or the pan gasket went bad, but that's only about 7 years old. There must be a lot of fluid under the mats.

I will roll it out Saturday and get a better look, and clean up the floor then get it up on ramps and stands and do both ends at the same time. I just hope I don't have to pull the trans. I'm getting both lazy and cantankerous.

You think that car is nice? Here is the one I built for my dad for his retirement present:

This car is exceptional.
I love the old Firebirds. The one I have always wanted, and probably the least valuable, is the 78. I guess it's the Smokey and the Bandit thing

Me too! Futbol!
My boss is from England, my crew is from Mexico. I'm so glad it's August. It's spelled fOOtball.

well you know I wanted to try goats milk but couldn't get the goat to stand still.
So many replies... which one won't get me booted?

Just make sure you're not trying the one with the horns

Egg question -- has anybody ever gotten a triple yolk egg?

I got another monster egg this morning, even bigger than the last huge one (just by 3 grams, but still!). I've only gotten one double-yolk so far, and it wasn't all that big of an egg. The other monster egg was laid on the 10th, so if the same hen hadn't laid the days in between, might it have 3 yolks?

And this is really strange...

The squirrels (or coons) were chewing the handles on my plastic trash cans, was going to buy metal ones next trip to Rural King, but I think they have the ones in your picture. I'll take a good look at them. Thanks!

no comment...

since we are sharing car pictures here's our 73 Chevy Nova Hatchback. It has been a 9 year frame off restoration.

Beautiful!! Now I'll have to go find a pic of my 65 Mustang....

My SIL taped a broom stick to her goat's horns -- to keep it out of the chicken pen, and off the porch... and anywhere that it wasn't supposed to go. That stick would have made a great grab handle!

I kind of breezed past this, then saw it held 60lbs? That would be great! I have some big blue totes that I bought to hold layer feed, chick feed, and scratch, but the lids aren't tight like that. I will look those up. Thanks!
