I already had wrinkled paint on the booster (supposed to be yellow cad plated but previous owner painted it when it got ugly) so that won't help, but it's not wet there. I'll pull the vacuum booster hose tomorrow and check the check valve for fluid. I agree seals are garbage but so is gasoline. I like your bleed port idea. I should just bench bleed the master once a year for good measure followed by draining some through the wheel cylinders and calipers. The rear wheel cylinders have been a weak link on all my Firebirds. I'll pull the lines at the master and plug the ports and find out really fast if it's a master or prop valve/distribution valve/line/wheel cylinder issue.
No trans fluid in the coolant, I had to drain some down to reseal the water neck and none at the thermostat and none out the petcock. No pin hole in pan, I replaced it with a finned aluminum pan some years back so it wouldn't overheat the trans in the 16 mile long traffic jam that is the Dream Cruise. No leaks on the radiator cooling tank or lines, either.
I have so many vehicles to maintain that once a month would be a long shot, and she does NOT want to start November through March. Neither do I for that matter. So I winterize her but left her in hibernation for too long.
My wife tried that. Now I love the taste of lemons
Nice! You are ramping up in a hurryWe threw em in the "big brooder" today; integrated em with the new chicks. Yes, I know that's not optimal, but we only had teh one big brooder, their smell was permeating our lives, and slackwater just tested clean for everything, plus the BLRW chicks were isolated since birth, so hopefully it'll be aight.
Had a min, so pics!

Here are a few of our mixed crew. I really like the colors so far. I can't wait to see what colors Welsummer/BA throw.

Our guys are in with the smaller BLRWs, and really giving them a run for their cash, worms or what have they.
I love the old Firebirds. The one I have always wanted, and probably the least valuable, is the 78. I guess it's the Smokey and the Bandit thingThanks![]()
I replaced the master cylinder 5 years ago when it failed internally. That's a quick job, but I'd rather diagnose it properly first.
I keep 3/4" rubber stall mats under the car, between the car and the concrete. The piece of rug is to collect the rear main seal drips and keep them off the rubber mats. The trans pan is wet with fluid, so either the trans pump seal failed and it was blown back when I started it, or the pan gasket went bad, but that's only about 7 years old. There must be a lot of fluid under the mats.
I will roll it out Saturday and get a better look, and clean up the floor then get it up on ramps and stands and do both ends at the same time. I just hope I don't have to pull the trans. I'm getting both lazy and cantankerous.
You think that car is nice? Here is the one I built for my dad for his retirement present:

Just make sure you're not trying the one with the horns
I kind of breezed past this, then saw it held 60lbs? That would be great! I have some big blue totes that I bought to hold layer feed, chick feed, and scratch, but the lids aren't tight like that. I will look those up. Thanks!
