She said/He said Who's right? Who's wrong? No one!

Surprise! I came home to 2 eggs in the nest box! You know what that means? At least one of my silkies is female!! The only other possibility is a 16-week old LO, so I'm betting on the silkie that was squatting for me, Molly, or both!

Also stopped on my way home and picked up my Brinsea. Found a few extra goodies in the bottom of the box. A couple nice thermometer/hygrometers and a scale, so I'll test them for accuracy tonite.

Happy day!

Nice of them to pass on the extras. Will be great to follow along your first hatch in it to see how you like it.

I'm not sure if she left them in the box on purpose or accidentally, but I'm sure she won't mind me keeping them!

She has been a pleasure to deal with. We swapped duck pictures, etc, and she wants to see my place when she comes to visit her sister next. The sister was fabulous also. I got lucky!

Oh don't worry, I'm not needing lemons yet! And he just shakes his head at me and goes on. But he did look out the window this morning and say how great it was having the chickens milling about.

and thanks!

Well we had a visitor in our house this morning. I was out in the coop going over where everything was with my neighbor, when I heard my husband yelling for me to come get the dogs. (Dogs were barking their heads off) He came out the front door and said there was a rattlesnake in the house! Dragged the dogs to the back part of the property, and ran to get the extension pole that had a paint roller on the end. I propped the back screen open and DH herded it out through the sun room to the back yard. (OK, after getting on my case because I stopped to get a picture!)

Then we noticed it didn't really have a rattle, although it sounded like it and was twitching his tail. It was a 4 1/2 foot Bull Snake. Scooted it into an empty trash can and took him to the end of the street to go on his merry way.

Now my Border Collie refuses to go anywhere near the sun room and won't go in and out the back door. Oh well. They did a good job keeping the snake at the door to the sun room so it didn't end up under the furniture or under the bed!

OMG. If that was in our house my wife would have us sleeping in a hotel tonight. I've never seen anyone with such a severe phobia
