She said/He said Who's right? Who's wrong? No one!

This is why I'm trying to be patient, find the right breeders and pay more now. I don't want to hatch something and get attached to it and then have to give it away. I already wish I hadn't of gone with the original breeder I went with. But you guys made me feel a lot better about them!
You have a good start with them. Fabio will never, ever, throw a SQ chick. Great pets, but that's it. I wish I had joined BYC 6 years ago...

I'm no longer in denial, I realized last night that I have a SERIOUS addiction to candling. I just told myself the night before that I wouldn't candle again to lockdown...and I believed myself (that's how I know it's bad). But at night when I go to hand turn, I literally can not stop myself!! Now that I've changed the batteries and could see Mars if I shined this thing in the sky, forget about it.
Do it, you'll be shocked at how much better it is! I was about to kill a chick! Oh and I thought the quail eggs were all too old and duds...2 are developing!
Is this what SQ looks like for BCMs? So, no gold around the neck? I seriously don't know what sop is and I think all the pics posted were handsome.
:lau I bought a plug in candler once. Was a total piece of crap. I returned it the next day.

Don't feel bad. I do too!!! Even after lockdown has commenced. Usually 2 times a day. I know.......someone is bound to smack me for it but oh well. (Bows head) I'm ashamed. :(

What keeps shows going are breeders from all walks of life. the ideal is to draw more people to a show . Its one thing to take first place out of ten . its means a whole lot more to take first out of a hundred . I was not offended for you . I like explanations as to why. a good judge will explain why they picked and placed every entry like they did. while I don't have time to show . I might at some time .waiting for sidewing to lead the way. blaze the trail . find all the trip wires .

I signed up for the poultry press, like Snowbird suggested. I'm waiting for the first one to come. I'm curious to see what shows are within driving distance and I'm really excited to go to my first show!

Good morning byc. I use a 55 gallon drum that has a lid that for some reason is not a tight fitting one. I use this drum attached to pvc lines with water nipples for my chickens. I was wondering what you would recommend to keep the water fresh and sanitary. I have been adding some bleach once a week. I am not sure whether that's enough or not. I have ordered some oxine ah from amazon to use instead. I will also use this to sanitize all incubation equipment after a hatch. Looking forward to advice ??? I am wanting to run a buried water line out to the coops eventually.

:hugs It really is an addiction because I do it even when I don't want to! So, I've never seen an internal pip before and I was talking to Amy about it last month and she told me to just go for it, open and check the eggs real quick. Last batch I opened the incubator so much during lockdown because I'm dying to see an internal pip. Well, I missed them all and woke up to 3 external pips! Maybe this batch!! At least I don't feel so bad because I know I'm not alone!

I have seen this pic before, but never noticed. Even in the most prominent pic on that website, the roo he is holding has the exact same comb fault that Tate does

Man, I wish I had been patient and gotten on a waiting list like sidewing did.

This is a lesson for anyone wanting to breed. If I keep moving forward with what I have, I will probably still be 2 years behind sidewing

wondered if you would pick up on that.

Oh dear, I gave up that denial a long time ago! So you are not alone. Its just so amazing to see them move, and watch them develop! I'm already telling myself to wait until at least Sunday before even attempting to candle any of mine. I know it will depend on if I stay gone all weekend, or if I'm home...
And I always change my batteries, usually a couple times through a hatch! I love my Mini Mag Lite!
