She said/He said Who's right? Who's wrong? No one!

I doubt her neighbor will put down an otherwise "good" bird.

Ok thank you guys. It's not my bird. It was once a healthy young chick and the eye started getting puss in it, so I just casually told my neighbor (who's also my landlord) that a couple pink eye drops might clear it right up. It was never treated. I thought about taking the bird home before but I didn't want to risk my flock. Then it seemed like he Had just lost sight in the eye but otherwise was ok. It was white yesterday without any swelling and you see the pictures today. I'm glad you said "don't bring it home" because that was my first reaction!!! Would pink eye drops even help now or just let what will be, be? Going home to bleach up, now!!! Thank you again!

I cant remember why I quoted this.....:gig oh well. :D
Oh yeah I remember now!!!!! I never make judgments on sex until I know for sure.....but that's funny.
So did I...lol

Diddo......man I'm having a moment.
You guys are great.
My cockerels are always for sale, but the price never changes. Someone come and get them, please

What breeds do you have for sale and how much?

Amy makes the time to nurture her eggs.  The Brinsea is for lazy folk who only remember there are eggs in the incubator when the box starts cheeping at them.  ;)

I'm in the lazy group.

That's funny.

Remember that chick I was talking about taking, down at my neighbors, that had the eye infection but it was never treated? Well it was the same yesterday (just looked blind in the eye) and my neighbor is away, so I came to feed them. And this is what it looks like today! Do you think he/she is in pain??

Warning graphic picture****** (I'm on a mobile so I don't know how to do a spoiler)
*****graphic picture ahead....

My hearts breaking. I feel sick for this one. Suggestions??

Poor thing. I would quarantine to prevent spread. And go from there.

All his birds are at risk because as it continues to sneeze and head shake, it will contaminate feed, water, and the other birds.

Suggest that your neighbor either get the bird treated or put it down for the health of the rest of the flock. It may be too late, but then again, maybe not.

No, he will absolutely not put it down. He'll just let it live until it dies on its own. He makes fun of how I "baby" my animals. I keep reminding myself like someone else said "I don't buy the feed and I don't shovel their crap", so I have to try really hard not to over-step my boundaries when I go there. (Not that he shovels any crap or buys feed...he gets old bread from the bakery) ok I'm stopping now!!

A kitten got hit by truck at work last week, and I had to put it down. we aren't allowed to carry weapons at work, so I had to do it manually. I got a lot of grief from the more tenderhearted individuals in the office Who were going to "fix" it. The secretary told me I had no heart. I told her sometimes it takes more heart to put them down than it does to let them suffer and die on their own

I know you covered this, but I agree with Ravyn and SC. I would not want that to spread.

Amen!

On a good note, I just sold 5 cockerels so I won't have to make them into soup. Selling as a batch was a great idea SC. Your target audience pulled through for me.
