She said/He said Who's right? Who's wrong? No one!

i have 2 Biological incubator running now. One batch due to hatch somewhere between 24-27 Aug and the second lot due somewhere between 7-14 Sept.
The other Pullet that was laying spend about 6 hours in one or the other nest every 2 days - but is not laying, nor brooding properly. not sure whats she doing.

I also finished my coop extension.
The 15 3 week olds are now living outside.

Ross, I got lost, did you figure out what these beautiful babies are?? I love them!! Too sweet

Yes the Hmong chick is not a Serama. And the little black chick is an Ogye. I googled it and it looks identical.

Lost my Malposition hatch.

. Very sad i should have done more to assist it i think. Waiting on 3 more eggs. Out of the 14 that went into lockdown- just lost the malposition, and 10 have hatched.

:hugs malpositioned chicks are hard. I think I am lucky I was able to get mine to hatch. What kind of incubator do you have??? 10 is great!!! Fingers crossed for the remaining 3.

Ok so I dont need an excuse. I did run across something at the store that someone on here told me about.. Its called Kinky. Wow, its yummy!

And exactly what I would expect from a male. Especially a male that's too cute to be a male!! :lol

Yep. Had it before. Super good!!! I just bought Palm Breeze Ruby Red Grapefruit. So much better!!!!

.you all have heard me  say my son has autism he's 22 and looks just like his uncle Ron my brother that died double heart break there any way last week he said mommy for the first time. that was a great day . Ben is for the most part nonverbal but has a laugh that lights up the world . he' the main reason I have stayed self employed . when things are going wrong with work I don't get upset because everything I run into can be fixed with time and money . while one part of my life is very hard .that part makes the rest seem so easy. enjoy Friday and all that comes with it we have sunshine today  :thumbsup [/COLOR]

Aaaawwww. I love this story.

That sounds awesome in my book. Keep looking and find the right one. We looked for a few months, but still kept coming back to the same one. But I know it will work out in the long run for you too. And you got a 100 mile bike ride to boot? Sounds like a great evening!

We just watched "Hot Pursuit" with Reese Witherspoon, I have not laughed out loud that hard in a long time! Well, at least without SC around! :D

I'm glad it's good. Going to rent that one next.

Sorry I missed GNO. I was at my in laws house until 10....then came home. Put the girls to bed, then myself. Long fun evening.

GNO was a no show lol

I have a report. My girls must be very happy with their new accommodations. I have had 8 eggs from the 8 girls almost every day since the move. The 2 soft ones on the second day, and I think one other day, I only had 7, so I'm very proud of them! They look happy and healthy.
As far as the boys, Big Guy has taken lead and I have seen him run after Punkin several times when Punkin tries to mate one of the girls. Big Guy finds food for them, guards them while they eat, and he escorted them to the coop last night, it was so cute. Punkin still runs around like a horny teenager. But otherwise, they seem to get along all fine.

Sorry for another long multi-quote. Headed to the beach for the day, so I hope it's a slow one on here.

What happened? Did the chick just die in the shell? So sorry! Good luck on the rest! :hugs

Be careful... yummy is the most dangerous... ;)

I know the too cute to be male thing...

:goodpost: well said! I couldn't agree more with all you wrote.

Congrats on all the hatching going on!

We took the bikes and rode out past the house, and a few more as well.  Ran 100 miles there, around, and back.

If the 13 acres that are not mowed are dry enough for good pasture/hayfield, then it looks like we may have found our house.  The branch of the river, which is a stream at this point, is about 10' wide and a foot deep with a gravel bottom and some brook trout, crayfish and minnows just seen from the road bridge.  A couple of weeping willow trees overhang a bend, and there is a small patch of trees to offer shade for cattle and horse as well as provide a few sticks of firewood.

The barns are rougher than they looked in the pics, and may serve for a season before I build a nice, dry pole barn.

The listing says two car garage, but the residents have half a dozen cars and trucks scattered on the driveway, so I am thinking not.

Deer EVERYWHERE.  Muskrat too.

Miles and miles of dirt back roads for my riding pleasure.

This could work...

Now you can start hatching waterfowl!! Is that a something you would like to do?

I can't Ovate again... but this deserves at least a 100... :hugs

X2

I took a very quick candle this evening. Just day 4 so I didn't get any out, just shined on a few in the bator, and I saw some veining already!

:celebrate awesome!! I always check on day 4 because that's when I can see veins!

This is not a sales pitch...but if anyone would like to talk to me about a Brinsea Eco 20, please send me a PM.

Will do!

What are you planning on doing with all those eggs?

I have already given a few dozens away! I do have girls at work, and neighbors that I can share with, because there is no way for me to use them all! And they are getting very large too!

Have a great day at the beach! I'll be in the woods. Haha

UPDATE. out of the three (of 14) remaining left to hatch, got one more hatch.

I will candle the other two later today to check for any activity. No external pip as of yet- on day 21.

Ruby - Yes my Malposition died in the shell yesterday evening. I know for next time I wont be as hesiatnt to assist - I put that one on me.

Ross - Im using a Janoel 24. I started with 24 eggs and only 14 made it to lockdown. Overall a useful incubator and satisfied with the results.
