She said/He said Who's right? Who's wrong? No one!

Thanks! That must be so hard not to see your grand baby.

Since we moved to NM we've been able to drive up here every other month to visit. I was also able to spend three weeks when Chloe was born in January.

We're very thankful for the time we have with them... Even though it is exhausting!

Awww I love the name Chloe! Mine is Abigail (Abby), she's my step-son's daughter, and he and the mother have already split. Ugly situation. The mother is even trying to keep the baby from her daddy, so its hard to tell when I'll get to see her again...

Oh that's awful. So hard when kids are in the middle of Adult messes. Hope you get to see Abby soon.

That sucks. I'm sorry. It's is really sad that children get thrown into the middle. It breaks my heart.

I have been doing yard work all morning. Just got out of the shower and now it's time to work inside!!!

I hope it works out so that the family ties are not broken.

Awesome score!!! :thumbsup

like it  the plastic reminds me of me . I have a friend who owns a lumber company . I go there a get shipping wrap . makes great covers in the winter . its also free.

So, buddy, pal o mine... ;)
Any chance you can get extra of that plastic??
Swap you for eggs??? :D

BYC - yes they were all shipped from 2 different breeders. The Buffs did real well. The Leipers not so well

Sometimes that's just from boxes getting rougher handling than others... good hatch though!! :)

Eventually ill be able to afford some good eggs to load it! I am More than Willing to take Any of yalls donated eggs, as i have Nothing to put in it for at least a week. Up to 50, its Huge! As u see it in my backseat, it came pretty well as a sole unit without foam extras, but the rails are there. Sincle i "stole" it (for $250!! He was a happy seller trust me) i cant be anything but happy. Although that much money on the chicken budget is rough, it makes me so glad for yalls support that i did the right thing! According to yall it should be worth it, (i wouldnt have done it without yall i wouldve gotten a reptlian "exo terra") i have been told that it will really help me get farthur with our poultry goals...

when you get tired of it I'll buy it.for a profit .

so minus 290 now. that nothing just dropped a little over five on two chickens kennels an going back tomorrow for one more . I like your business plan. was there supposed to be a picture ?

I posted early from the beach but I can't find it, must have been bad reception. On the off chance it went through and I'm just not seeing it, this is going to be very redundant...

I have already given a few dozens away! I do have girls at work, and neighbors that I can share with, because there is no way for me to use them all! And they are getting very large too!

Have a great day at the beach! I'll be in the woods. Haha

Thanks! That's very nice that you are sharing eggs. You should sell some. If you got the cartons & stickers like SC has, you will be in business!!

Ruby - Yes my Malposition died in the shell yesterday evening. I know for next time I wont be as hesiatnt to assist - I put that one on me.

Ross - Im using a Janoel 24. I started with 24 eggs and only 14 made it to lockdown. Overall a useful incubator and satisfied with the results.

I'm sorry. But you gained very valuable experience. With each hatch, I gain so much first-hand knowledge. It really is priceless. I accidentally killed a chick that I thought was dead on my first hatch. I went in unprepared and had no idea about the blood vessels. I know how tough it is to blame yourself. Don't. It could have been a number of things. Next time you'll be a pro!

Can't wait to follow your first hatch in it! That thing is huge!!

:hugs That is terrible! Especially because you want to see her. My issue with my ex-in-laws was that they never cared to see their grandkids. And that really hurt my feelings. Now, it's like I don't care anymore (since the divorce). But I wish they had wanted to.

I am going to shut down the GQF incubator tonight and move my turkeys to the Polyhatch. 25-45 watts vs 250 is one reason...but also just to see how it does.

It's very simple, yet very clever. The egg turner base is a perforated aluminum plate that rolls back and forth, driven by a cam. The eggs would just move back and forth as well, except they use divider rods to hold the eggs back. So the eggs roll against the rods, and rotate 90 degrees every 30 minutes. The tray moves very slowly.

And the tray is reversible...it has one set of motor guides for large eggs, and another for small eggs, to ensure that 90 degrees is always attained.

Double insulated top window is nice as well. And it has a tiny LED inside so that it's not pitch black.

The water trays are readily filled by lifting the aluminum plates that cover the gaps at the end of the tray. The base has a built in water guide on each end to direct water into the channels.
