She said/He said Who's right? Who's wrong? No one!

Those are beautiful!  They grow here, too. I'll post pics the day I find them. ;) Thanks!

we have a tree the son took down and its been stacked uncovered next to a lil creek and its covered on the ends with some kind little shrooms starting, but it took two years for them.  I will have to ask what type of tree it was, heck I dont remember!

I thought they are pretty ones too

The most important things to look at while trying to ID a mushroom is Looking at the underside. Is it ridges, fins or pores. I want to find chanterells but everything I find has fins, not the ridges that are found on them.

Sure thing., We are getting 2 dozen from Tennessee, so the distance they're isn't too bad, hopefully the shipping practices will be up to par. They're indirectly from Fred's Hens. :D We're eggcited.

Sometimes IDing can be so challenging! This is the best online key I have ever found; use it all the time.

Good luck finding your Chants. We looked for a long time and never found them. Then they found us and now we find them often. lol They grow in our back yard in the woods.

LOL I dont think anyone can be a fan of huricanes and roaches??? why so bad there?...... well there are a few that like those big roaches eeeeewwww
Not sure what you are asking with "why so bad there?" You mean NY or my town?

Sally, sc lives in SC, ask him, lol...

As for TN, taxes aren't bad... no state income tax... and TN is now giving first 2 years of college free to high school grads...

Edited to add, oh yeah, the Sulmtaler roos name is Duke, lol...

That sounds tempting. I have a friend that lived in Tenn and she misses it and wants to go back.
We have sales tax and county taxes (ours is 8%) on store stuff and then property and school taxes if you own a home and depending where/what county you live in, just the taxes alone can make you or break you if you have a decent home. You can't even build a shed w/out having a building permit, heck my nephew bought an already made shed and had it delivered ( a real big one) and he got fined for not having a permit (which I don't understand).

Is that "the Duck Man's" last name?

I couldn't imagine it would be, though I don't know his last name.  It's this guy:

What's wrong with Green?

Heard good things about Fred's Hens... I think Green is our local poultry mill guy... ugh...

TN is awesome... but our taxes are lower since we live out in county property though... in town it might be higher depending... I know my MIL pays more than we do and we have larger property and house, she has a small lot... :/

Also, I dont understand when I am looking at property in new york there are statements about mineral rights and all that? I looked at aerials of NY West and some of the mining I see from google earth scares me. I dont want to buy something and then someone can push me off for mining or something.

that all should come with a title search. you need to make sure the mineral rights come with your property when you buy if they don't. don't buy it .In Tn.it is on the deed if they have sold the minerals rights to the property .
