@lazy gardener you asked about the Call Duck Mafia, the Goon Squad and Hardy Boys, right? Here they are, lol...

400

Call Duck Mafia, led by the tiny terror Don Lady Grey...

400

The Goon Squad, a week younger than Lady Grey and monstrously huge...

400

The Hardy Boys, my oldest Calls and still hormonal teenagers...

x2!  I'm with you on a green Christmas.  I like snow a couple times a year, just to see it, but we got our fill (and then some!) last year, so I could do without any snow at all this year!
Even though we both know it ain't gonna happen!!

I believe ducks develop as early as chicks, but the shells are usually a little thicker/tougher, so its harder to see those first signs of blood vessels really early.  My duck is laying really waxy eggs!  Feels like there is an extra coating on them!

Are your duck eggs fertile?

Oh, BTW, I found a website as addictive as Amazon. Vistaprint. I need to get business cards because I'm getting a lot of referral customers now, so I made one up on Vistaprint last night. Once you get your card customized, before you go to checkout they plaster your image on a ton of other stuff that you can buy. T-shirts, hats, yard signs, car signs, calendars, etc...:drool

My ex-husband LOVES Vista-print! He's been using it for years. I still find piles of stuff he had printed up. You really are the "N" word, huh?

In the spring I look forward to the ship a thon.  While I won't have any quality birds to offer, I should have some interesting EE that are not your everyday EE...and some Narragansett and Golden Narragansett turkeys.

I was just talking about the ship-a-thon. Is someone going to take the lead and organize it?

:hugs. I am so sorry!
I love morels!!!! I used to find them all the time in Alaska and make cream of mushroom soup. So yummy!!!

I love soup. Cream of mushroom is one of my favs! I had cream of wild mushroom soup at a fancy restaurant when I was young and I'll never forget how delicious it was.

will try both the rice (different ones: white, Jasmine & wild) and see if there are any silica packets around the housr.

I used the moisture control stuff from the dollar store. I put a small cup in the incubator and it worked amazing, for me. That was actually my best hatch. I'd empty the cup and put fresh stuff in every 24 hours. (I couldn't get under 60%-dry, so I needed to dry out the air cells for a few days and it worked)! But I think your humidity is perfect! I wouldn't worry about going any lower. I'm actually running higher this batch...45%.

So, SOP is no feet?

Beautiful girl. I meant to ask; is there a difference between a black Am and a BBS black Am? I guess what I'm asking is would a blackXblack offspring still carry BBS genes?

You can kinda see her feet in the first and last pic... not my fault I have GRASS in my runs... :plbb

Thank you, she's my lone survivor from Jerry's black split eggs... black to black will produce only black... only difference in BBS black and extended black is if you use BBS black in breeding lavender, there is a chance of recessive popping up later... think it has to do with the blue... it's not expressed in black, but can show in lavender later...
