I'm waiting on one lone egg to pip! Won't hold my breath! Lots of work today dealing with the school and immunization issues.

I have fan decks from all the major paint companies and will have to see what stores are near me. Will have to talk to locals into giving me the discounts I used to get - since I used to do some color consulting informally in SoCal.

Me too. This house isn't "talking" to me yet, so I don't have a feel for which way I want to go. The previous owners tried to "upgrade" things to sell the house and it feels schizophrenic - brushed nickel track lights in a southwestern home with rustic pavers on the floor? Yuck. The older parts of the house I love, the new stuff sucks.

Well 2 was the final number. I went into the last 2 eggs hoping to save them but I was too late. 1 was malpositioned, he was upside down, a helthy sized chick, fully formed, just upside down. The other 1 I'm not sure what happened. He looked fine to me but I think he didn't have his head under his wing, he had it on the outside of his wing. The others I didn't bother to look at, I didn't want to see. So depressed, I could've saved those 2 if I had gone in just a little earlier

But atleast I have 2 little 1's running around peeping their heads off. Actually they're sleeping right now and I think I'm about to do the same, I'll post some pics of the chicks tomorrow, see y'all then. Good night everybody

No, you might not have saved them - you might have killed them earlier or just taken them out to die - or to watch them die.

Some chicks are not meant to hatch, especially ones scrambled in the mail. Try not to second guess yourself. (Easier said than done.)

Watching my hubby play hockey... He plays Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and two games on Thursday. No service in the arena.

Nice! Haven't watched hockey in a long time... nothing like the real deal, can't watch it on tv...

I know! Poor Meg! Ive always had instant gratification problems! Patience was hard to learn, but at least i dont have to open the bator to shine the light semi thru em i waited 38 days last time, making sure i gave my first every chance it could have... Really lucky i didnt have a bomb!

It's not your fault trust me....my very second hatch I had a temp spike on day 19 after lockdown and killed the 8 Rhodebar eggs I had in there. Not a single one hatched. Be thankful you have 2 babies!!! I know I would be. And I have to agree with whoever said that yes you could have helped them but still they may have died. It's better to not get attached. I have some sad stories if your ever curious to hear. Pm me if you are.

If I wanted to kill him I would have but...you want fertile eggs this spring correct???? Lol!!! I need him...as much as I hate the fact he is mean to the kids...and was even hand raised....it sucks and breaks my kids heart that he turned on them.
