I loaned a Boer stud out to a friend once, & his dogs cornered & killed it. That wasn't a good day, either.

Everything is still standing for now lol, it's blowing pretty good out there right now but the rain has died out for the moment, thank goodness.

Wow! What a difference 100 miles makes. We've had no wind problems here at all. Almost had to hook up the trolling motor to go shut up the girls last night, though.

You may have washed the nasty eggs, but it wasn't your fault that they were nasty to begin with! They should send you new eggs. Good luck.

Awww, that's terrible. Luckily my husband was outside with her when it happened and she was running along right behind him so he caught them before they did any real damage. The bad thing was everytime he caught 1 dog the others would get her. We all heard him yelling and finally got them all contained. She has a couple scratches on her head but that's about it. It's a good thing she's fast. They're all pit bulls so they were going for her throat but never suceeded, thank god. We'd have 3 dead dogs right now if they had really hurt her, that pig is my husband's baby.

u know i have quail too, but i havent even had one lay yet. Texas A & M, and theyre at about 14 wks now its been difficult for me to keep them in a location where theyre not stressed. I dislike the flighty carateristics, prefering calmer birds, and i dont like keeping anything on wire, so that in itself aggravates me about the species... If i am to continue with quail, its going to be in a new caging system, mostly blocked on the sides so theyll stop freaking out so much...

Today is not a good day. This stupid storm blew my front door open cause someone didn't close it all the way after they went out and all 3 of my dogs got out and attacked our pot belly pig, luckily she's ok though. Then I candled my eggs and alot of them are quitting on me. God I wish I had never washed them. I just wasn't thinking when I did it. I can't get anymore cause there's no way my husband is going to drive me all the way back up there again. We were on the road all day that day. 1 of the breeders told me they'd replace the eggs but I'm leary about shipped eggs after that last batch and I don't think she's ever shipped eggs before so I don't know if she'd do it right. And the other breeder, which was way more expensive, won't replace them. Especially since it was my fault that they are quitting. So upset right now.

! So sorry its a bad one for you i had a pot belly and he did pretty well against the neighbors dog so i assume the poor guys alrite?

Thank you, I'm hoping I can convince the more expensive breeder to send me some replacement eggs too, the other breeder told me from the beginning she'd replace them if they didn't do good so atleast I know I'll get something. I'd rather go pick them up but man that was a long ride last time, lol.

Yes, thank goodness she's alright. My dogs are all really prey driven so when something runs from them it's on, and she ran, of course, I can't blame her on that, lol. She's got a few scratches on her head but other than that she's ok. My husband would have shot all 3 of them if they'd hurt her real bad, he was out there with his shotgun when it happened and aaid he thought about shooting them then but was afraid he'd hit Lulu, the pig, in the process. That pig is his baby.

Lol, yeah, we're about to float away out here too, we got our truck stuck in the driveway, pulled in and it sunk right where it sat. The bad thing was where it sunk was a fairly unsaturated spot.
