Yes, and more so on some days than others...Most are great though. My Department has about 80 of them that I provide computer support for.

I had read where some turn the heat down once hatching begins. I wasn't sure about that but I did drop it a bit because of the humidity.

Some people do. I don't. With the little giant I have it's very hard to make minor adjustments w/o throwing off the whole thing. BUT my temps usually end up a degree or so lower because of being hands on regardless...lol

For some reason, I can't get any other pics to post well, but if you open this up, the sex link is the black one towards the back of the pic.  The big buff chicken in the front center is my Pioneer.  She's a great layer, and has made some awesome pullets.

Had a bit of a scare for a little bit today, though. The birds had been out foraging most of the day. About 4:00 I noticed they'd had enough & were all back in the run, except one hen. I counted beaks again...still came up short. I'd been outside most of the day myself, & hadn't heard any commotion, like something was after them, but I started looking around for possible clues, anyway. Wasn't long before I found the missing hen...locked up inside the live trap I have for coon & possum. She seemed perfectly at home. I'm surprised one of them hadn't found their way in there before now.

So the power went out earlier for about 4 hours. Thankfully my husband's jump pack was here and fully charged and it has reagular wall type outlets so I plugged the bator in and it ran like a charm, disaster effectively averted

Tell me about it, I'm just wondering if me catching it is going to make a difference in the hatch, lol. I candled earlier from inside the bator again and all are still alive and growing though. Hopefully no more will quit and what I have will hatch
