Has anyone here ever used Zemecterin Gold paste wormer for horses to worm chickens? If so what is the dosage? I'm thinking of using that next time as it seems to me that you can insure they're getting an entire dose since you administer it yourself orally and its more convenient for me since I use it to worm my dogs as well. I wouldn't think it would take more than a dab on your finger for a chicken?
 
@Ruby: I just looked it up and it said it's perfectly fine to feed them cucumbers and the skin is ok too as long as there is no pesticides on it. It also said that bananas are an excellent and healthy treat. They like them over ripe as well, which is a plus (I can't handle them once they get mushy, yuck :sick ) Someone put a list together of all the things you can feed your chickens as treats and snacks. I'll find the link and post it. Or you can search list of treats for chickens

Doeages for chickens is way different... best to look here and if you can't find the answer, ask Kathy (casportpony) she is a dosage expert... :)

used Ivermectin took a plastic fork broke off three tines. put it in the tube about 1/4 inch about 1/8 inch high . some else said a pea size drop .I think that's to much. unless its a really small pea . one tube will do a twelve hundred pound horse . a chicken weighs five pounds figure it out .

Nope, K... dosing for chickens is different... their digestion is completely different than horses or other mammals... if you dose a chicken using comparable weight/dosage info for them, you will under dose chickens... Kathy breaks it down really well... I follow a lot of her postings cuz she really does her homework when it comes to treating poultry or waterfowl of any kind...

Kathy has gone the extra mile to figure out so many drugs and dosages. I definitely trust her too.
