Have you tried candling from the air cell end down? You can make more sense of what's going on when you candle down into the egg from the big end and not from the bottom or side.

They would be fertile, just non-viable because of damage at the cellular level.

I have. But I find it difficult to hold the egg without dropping it with the flashlight on top and take a picture. Maybe I should make a cradle for pictures...

Update real quick on my new peacock contact! Jus returned hm from his place at 9 pm! Had such great talk... I told him jus like i do yall: relationships matter to me and that i want to build a working relationship with him. He has goats milk that i want to trade for for my calf He says he wants my green egg chicks TOO, i tol him i would Love the opp to incubate for him. He lost about 500$ in peas last yr(his Broody left the nest... )

Looks like more great fun! He lives jus up the highway from me i have the feelin he scoffs at our website, and that he sees me as a wanna be kid, but i also feel like i impressed him with the reserch ive done, and in the long run, i feel mostly, like he does want to work with me

Cultivate those relationships, they are invaluable... sometimes it's little things that get us in touch with others that will help us and them too...

Thank you it was pretty exciting when i told him i was registered here, and that anything i know is book learnt, he told me i could call him with any questions pretty neat guy. Im really going to need help if i start messing with those peas, and then theres already my own turkeys... So glad to have you

It's a beautiful day here . so outside work all day good morning all .

Glad you've got beautiful weather. The wind howled and the rain beat against the windows all night. Surprised the trees behind the run and green house didn't come crashing down on them. Still coming down heavy. Inside for me today, other than fixing what the wind messed up outside. My SIL coming this afternoon to do a roofing estimate. Hope to get it done before winter.

Can you feel anything there? Maybe drag your fingernail, or the tip of a straight pin across it. If its a crack, you can rub a candle on it. Or just let it be... just keep it positioned where you can watch it for seepage. The membrane is likely intact, so if its not gaping open, I don't think it should hurt anything. Also watch for excessive air cell growth.
