She said/He said Who's right? Who's wrong? No one!

That is what I was thinking. Thank you. I will scrounge in the junk box tonight for them. Pretty sure my junk box is the entire garage though. That's what happens when you share tools.

Our garage is like that, with special boxes for lots of stuff, but the special stuff could be in any particular box. Then, I have boxes with supplies for a particular project, and put the needed tools in the project box, then I start an other project instead... that needs the tools that are in the box for the former project. Drives poor hubby absolutely crazy!

So, what's his is ours and what's her's is her's? lol
That logic is located on the X chromosome.

You think it's a special trip for you? The only Menard's I've ever been in (and I've been there quite a lot) is in Racine, WI!
I've never seen a Menards.

Also, is it possible to figure out which chicken laid which egg in a photo based on color? My girls are all mixed together but two of which are Dominiques and will make sex links with Sue. I was hoping I could spot the eggs by the color and try to focus on incubating them. The other girls are two GLW and two black Australorps.

I was really hoping I didn't have to go out again and get components for the incubator... Especially since those smaller sockets look twice the price of the wide base ones I have on hand. We'll see if stubbornness or practically win out there. I guess it depends on if I have bolts and nuts in the garage....
I can tell you that my Doms lay lighter colored eggs, and their eggs are on the small side. How old are your girls? If I had to guess, I'd say that the one at 9:00 on the plate is a Dom egg.

Haven't set them yet... since Lady Grey started laying, we found some eggs to be shipped... they'll get here either tomorrow or Sat... unfortunately I just saw they got routed thru Memphis...

If AmyLynn is fine with it, I'll post progress here, otherwise I can see about making a thread... up for votes to everyone on that???
Ducklings will be in the house, unfortunately... but with predators right now, better safe than sorry... but I'll be sorry within a week cleaning up after the little sh*t machines, lol...
Hey, if you can get pea eggs, let me know, please? Might be interested to try 'em...

Are you following AmyP's Frieda vs Brinsea thread? She posted pics of the Sulmtaler eggs she got from me last night... 3rd pic she posted is a clear example of a bloodring... might want to look so you'll recognize it if it happens...

Why would I mind? And who cares if I mind? lol Seriously, I think all of us that aren't incubating need as many fixes as we can get....lol

Menard's is like Home Depot, Lowes, & Bass Pro, all rolled into one. Wish we had one around here.

Exactly! :gig

Okay.....did everyone just the fact that you called us all D*** addicts???!! :lau. :lau. :gig

Somehow I knew you would be the one to catch that :lau

I looked and skipped right on past that. :pop  I was waiting for someone else to take notice.

Got a bantam cochin egg today. Its so tiny!
Also making cookies from a FERTILE lavender orpington egg! These might be the best cookies I've ever made! :D

You're not the only one. What was I thinking? I have 10 runner ducklings that started out as eggs under my silkie hen. Some dummy (that would be me) forgot to get the eggs every day (and didn't mark them soon enough).

I have to say my silkie is an admirable mother. I keep adding the newly hatched to the rest with her. They are from 1 day to 2 weeks. I make sure they eat and don't get lost in the shuffle.

They are in my kitchen. I just keep cleaning them.

That is awesome... I have a black Ameraucana broody who adopts any chick I give her from the bator... haven't tried ducklings though...

I just had a Marans and 2 Silkies go broody though... hmmm...

I care... :smack
Just making sure... :thumbsup

Are Marans normally very broody? I think its well know that silkies are :D
How many are they sitting on? More winter brooding! Lol

Isn't that little cochin eggie adorable? Would take a dozen to feed DH, but I suppose they will get bigger. She came out of an egg that was bigger.

I'm never gonna make it through winter without firing up the bator again. :/
