She said/He said Who's right? Who's wrong? No one!

Yep. I'm excited for them. Hope I can hatch a few.
I hope you have a great hatch. There's always a chance.

So this is my first time incubating. We didn't realize how staggering hatches could pose a problem. So we put 2 bantam eggs in and then 6 days later we put 33 more eggs in. We are on day 12 with the first two and day 6 with the remaining eggs. So what do I do at lockdown for the first two? I obviously don't wanna lose any of the eggs, should I turn up the humidity just a little and hope for the best for the first two? Or will that hurt the remaining eggs? Thanks for your guys Input I really appreciate it

You could always use a cool with a light and water to be your hatcher for the time being for the first 2. They are easy to make and cheap. I would Google it.

Some of the Spitz eggs had loose bubble air cells.  I candled them and I don't see any rolling now.

:highfive:

My silver leghorn eggs arrived today. I get home tomorrow night. My wife unpacked them and said they look like eggs. At least none broke.

At least she didn't say they looked like an omelet...

Wait til first pip, then up the humidity til they're done hatching... just don't forget to lower it back down... good luck!! :)

Hi M, Welcome to the thread!

You can always make an inexpensive hatcher out of a cooler like Ross said, but if you are home all the time and can watch for pips, you can raise the humidity from the time of the first pip until the other one hatches, then drop it back down.

(OK, Ravyn types faster than I do.)

What humidity are you running now and what kind of bator do you have?

Thanks everyone! I have a styrofoam farm innovators 4200 "pro series" it has an egg turner and fan in it. Currently it's running between 35-40% humidity. Temps been stable at 99.5. I do work during the day but they are due on my day off so that might work perfectly
