Hi everyone, I know it is fairly common for turkeys to shed their intestinal lining every so often. I’m just wondering how often and how much is normal. I usually wake up to two or three “gross poops” a week from my 9 B.B. turkeys. Not a great pic, but is this normal? *gross picture ahead*

I don’t even know where to start looking for someone to do this. I have noticed this since they were about a month old. They are about 4.5 months old now and almost ready for butcher.
Do you have a Petsmart or Tractor Supply that does dog vaccination clinics? The ones they do here have a fecal test. If you have a dog, cat, or large animal vet, call them and ask about havin some poop tested.

If you can't get the poop tested you could treat for coccidia with Corid and worms with Wazine or Safeguard.

When are you planning on butchering?

We plan on butchering in about a month.
Pretty sure Corid has a zero day withdrawal, not sure about the wormers though. If you treated now and modified your feeding program they would probably gain weight, just not sure how much. :idunno How far off their ideal weight are they?

My biggest Tom is 23 lbs and my smallest hen is 13 lbs. they are 16 weeks old
so 33 and 21 pounds are what the chart says, yes? I have no idea how much weight they could gain in a month, but it might be worth looking into treating them to see if you can get their weight up.

Ok I set up an appointment to get a decal sample done this Saturday at tsc. If it is worms or cocci, would the meet still be ok to eat?
