I'm in love with my new Babydoll sheep. They are just wonderful. They are the original sheep brought to NA and are a heritage breed now, and considered a miniature as they are only 18 - 20 in high av. They are a spinner's sheep as the fleece is like cashmere and great for small farms. They make the best pets and are very friendly. They do however also have good meat/milk if you are so inclined. I would highly recommend these sheep to anyone . Very easy to keep.
I too read the Living with Sheep and did a lot of research and planning before I got them and it was worth it. I have 4 and got them as lambs so won't breed them till this fall.
