SHE'S 12 YEARS OLD PLUS BUT NOW...

My oldest hen we named her Dotie and she was laying eggs until recently

She's staying by herself since one day I found her just standing alone and not as active
So she's eats a lot and drinks and lays her egg and even talks! (well you know the chicken language)

in any case the only think all this time was that she would scratch herself on the left side of her face and all of a sudden left eye not open as usual
I gave antibiotics on her water but her side is a bit swollen so in reading a post here i dabbed some hydrocortisone 1% a minute ago and still eye only open a bit
not eating as much either but she pecked at some food just now
so i also got probiotics in her water now

any ideas anyone?
i know she's of age but she too nice and don't want to lose her

I'd apply some antibiotic ointment to her eye and face.

so after the antibiotic ointment (the one that comes on first aid kits) Dotie is eating a lot again almost no scratching herself and eye open ! she seems like a new chic ! picture from yesterday
I'll keep treating her with more hydrocortisone 1%
