"Sure." Jadyn walked into the tent calmly.
Dirk came back into the tent behind her, closing the flap as he entered. Seth was sitting on a small chair in the tent, looking slightly depressed. Dirk pulled up a chair for Jadyn before sitting down himself. "So," he began, "whlie we were in the Med-Room and we were working on Seth, we noticed that the EMP shorted-out some of the circuts in his shifting tech. While it didn't really do any lasting damage, there's a glitch in the system that is beyond our power to fix, and it reset the form that it changes him back to when he de-morphs. Normaly this wouldn't be a huge problem, but his wounds were severe enough that... well... maybe you should just see." That said, Seth reached over to his left shoulder and it looked like he was peeling the skin off his arm; only, it wasn't skin. It was a protective sleeve that was covering the outside of his arm, but underneath that cover was no flesh or anything. There was only a huge mess of wires, servos, and electronics. Dirk continued, "the injuries were so severe that we had to amputate his left arm at the shoulder and his right leg below the knee. We also needed to do some spinal reconstruction and strengthening. The main problem is that shifting to an animal then back won't fix the problem. It won't reset the DNA all the way, like it should, so he's still going to have an artificial arm and leg for the rest of his life." Seth tried to lighten the mood a bit by saying, "on the plus side, now I can lift like 15 tons more than anyone else; that may come in handy when we need like a forklift or something when we don't have one." The two boys chuckled a little, it was the first time any of them had laughed since the crash.
Jadyn looked at Seth. "Well, you're my personal Hercules." She hugged him.
