Speaking of eating... I gtg eat lunch, and check on my broody. She's leaving the nest, so now I got to chase her with the remaining fertile eggs. Just one more chick? Please?

Okay! I'm going to go collect amaranth seeds and try popping them!

I attempted to pop them, but they burned. Maybe I'll try putting them in the popcorn maker!

That's too bad. They didn't pop at all? Even with watching very close? I know they cook quickly... Maybe the kind I get they've done something to it before selling? But what would that be? Maybe! Have you tried them in there yet? If so, how'd it go?

They did pop a little! Also, it's a little early to harvest the amaranth and maybe I need to let it dry a little? I haven't tried the popcorn machine yet.

Any way, my brother just spotted a BLUE blue grosbeak!!! A male that had his blue!
My brother was like, "I just saw a bluebird on the gate." So, obviously I freaked out and shoved a picture of a blue grosbeak in his face, and he said that's what it was!

They did pop a little! Also, it's a little early to harvest the amaranth and maybe I need to let it dry a little? I haven't tried the popcorn machine yet.
