I just got a set of Black East Indies Eggs this weekend. They came shipped from Chicago to New York. I let them sit in the carton 24 hours, fat end up. I put them in the bator last night.

I checked them all and they seem to have very stable air cells. No wiggle, a few with a slightly odd shape but no movement when gently rolled.

My question is how long should I let them set in my bator not being turned before I set them in my turner.

I Usually Start Turning The Next Day.(24 Hours After I Put Them In The Incubator.)

I just started my replacement batch of 14 Bielefelder eggs about 90 min ago. Should I disconnect the turner and reconnect tomorrow ? Did not know about "no turn" for 24 hours

They tend to do better if you don’t turn for at least a day. Sometimes longer depending on their air cells.
