Shipping and Receiving Pea eggs contest!

The biggest problem I see with this, is getting the response back from the buyers. Obviously the people on BYC will help out, but if you sell some eggs on Ebay or other places, chances are the buyer will not take the time to give you the feedback your looking for. They just want their eggs.

It would be funny to see an eBay listing with part of the requirement for buying being that you have to send feedback on the hatch and arrival of the eggs haha!

Personally, I always go back and send a message to the person I got the eggs from- when I get the eggs with their condition, and then again when they hatch with how many hatched, how many developed, and how healthy the chicks are. If they are really good birds, I've gone back and left messages with them with pictures of the adults and stuff. But... that's probably the exception, not the rule sadly.

I'm game to buy and receive eggs from somebody but I need an NPIP breeder! I am in middle Tennessee.

I would be willing to participate either sending or receiving. My ladies are taking a break at the moment. Was getting 5 or 6 a day. Now getting only 1 or so. My early fertility was really bad, but seems to have gotten better.

Poultryfan 73,,my pen of India blues is finally starting to lay good,,won't know fertility on them until after the weekend,,I won't send eggs that I myself know aren't fertile,,unless your wanting some other color that I have?
AugeredIn,,your a little far for me,,perhaps another pea owner will offer to recieve or ship to you that's closer but going to florida would be a test if shipped from Illinois,,I have had great hatchrates on wheaton Marans eggs shipped to me from Fla before,,Peas are tough enuf as is.

I have a nice 2 year old Purple B/S Silver pied male,with 2 purple b/s hens,,2 purple hens,and 1 purple w/e hen,,I got this cockbird from Brad Legg in March along with 1 of the Purple b/s hens,,I raised the two regular purple and purple w/e hens from hatched eggs 2 years ago,so this is their first year laying and some eggs aren't yet fertile,,but I know that 3 hens are laying fertile eggs,,and this cockbird is agressive so it won;t be long and all will be good.
I also just got a quad of Black shoulder silver pieds from Bigcreekpoultry last Saturday,,,the male and 2 hens are blackshoulder silver pieds and 1 hen is a silver pied,,,so I have 2 pens with pieds now.
I have a pen of Midnight B/S with 4 b/s hens,,,I have a big IB pen with 9 hens and 3 cock birds,one a regular IB,,1 a IB B/S,and 1 a Blue Pied,,,I have a pen of Opal b/s with 1 cock and 2 Opal b/s hens,and a pen of Bronze,,1 cock with 2 bronze hens,,and 1 IB Hen that may be split to bronze.And then I have my Charcoal dark pied pen,,that cockbird is with 3 Black shoulder split to charcoal hens,,and a young 2 year old dark pied and a silver pied in with him.

Georgialee received her eggs fine,none was broken this time,,she took pics and will upload here and update as candling is done thru hatching.Poultryfan73 is the next "guinea pig" so to speak,his eggs are leaving Tuesday.There has to be other BYC'ers besides me sending or receiving eggs now for Peacocks,,yes??
