Shipping Eggs (Just a vent.)

pdsavage, evidently you think a statement was not rude, while I think it was. We disagree. Now please drop it.

25 years here, but retired 2 years ago. I did just about everything but sweep the floors. Started as carrier, forceably changed to clerk after my injury. Promoted supervisor till I stepped back down cause I hated it, Box section clerk, mail processing clerk, clerk at the plant, rural and city route inspector, HR specialist, plant quality control, etc etc etc. You have my condolences.

Appreciate the condolences, too..... I started out on the LSM, (wow, I AM an antique..), have worked in every clerk position, just about, except window service. Manual clerk, express mail, registry room. Worked every tour. On days, now, with weekends off. Have 204b'ed..... found out VERY quickly that position was ALL aggreivation, and no glory... Went to the BMEU acceptance office ten yeas ago, almost eleven. If I have to work, it's the best fit for me at the PO. The brain challenge is better than the boredom of mail-processing, for me. Plus my current boss is smart, fair, and cares about what we do. You know that's not the truth for many supervisors.

'scuse me, back to our regulaly scheduled venting session.....

Thing was, I was fine with 204b. It was after I was actually a promoted supervisor that it got horrible. But I was supervising carriers, not clerks. Difference between working at a plant and working at a substation is like night and day. I never window clerk'd either. No way I'd stand there and take all that abuse from customers. It was bad enough being chewed out for other people's mistakes when I carried mail. But at Memorial Park Station in Houston, we had the best window clerks ever. People would come from all over town to our window unit because they liked them best.
